YLLC Kids Collect 20,000 Pull Tabs for Ronald McDonald House
rmcd_logo_and_kid
Christina Colley’s class at the Hillside YLLC has been collecting pull tabs from soda cans to helpthe Ronald McDonald House here in Nashville. It is a project they have done for the last three years. In all they have collected over 20,000 pull tabs. This year one student alone turned in just over 3,000 pull tabs. Where some might say that kids so young can’t really impact those around them these Kindergarteners, 1st and 2nd graders know that even in the small things they can help others.
For a community project in February the students made Valentine’s Day cards for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. They made a total of 32 cards with heartfelt wishes that the families child would get better, they would have a good day and that they would have a happy Valentine’s Day.
