Volunteer Tutor
Job summary: This position involves working directly with the children under the direction of the YLLC program staff. Volunteer tutors will assist in the following areas: implementing individualized lesson plans, checking homework, distributing assignments, preparing snacks, and assisting with light clean-up at the end of each day.
Volunteer Program Assistant
Job summary: Volunteers in this position offer support to the program/administrative team through a variety of activities pertaining to the everyday work flow.

Job summary: This position offers many levels of support including graphic design, video production, and website management.

Translator/ Interpreter
Job summary: Volunteer translators tutor students and assist with their homework using primarily English and the student’s native tongue. Translators at times assist with translations for parents, particularly on parent nights.
Volunteer Research Assistant
Job Summary: Volunteers with an interest in social research participate in ongoing community assessments conducted by the Youth Life Foundation of Tennessee. These projects include various types of qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, including internet research, surveys, ethnographic studies, etc.
Volunteer Craftsman
Job Summary: Periodically, volunteers take on project that require building or renovations skills. Project vary from maintaining current facilities to renovating and building out new centers.
Volunteer Facility Maintenance
Job summary: This position involves cleaning, painting, and updating facility. Special events and fun Fridays often require a lot of set up and break down.
